Tailormade oak sideboard construction. The furniture was made based on a design of the customer's choice. The philosophy behind it, is a combination of both Japanese simplicity and Scandinavian philosophy. For its construction we chose solid European oak wood and veneer of the same species variety which was selected and processed specifically for this project. The furniture is oval shaped and has three surfaces which are the distinct boundaries of the construction (base, shelf, bottom). The main element of the structure is a solid frame consisting of round legs and crossbars . The study and the particular way of construction of the frame gives the furniture both the required firmness and the feeling of its shelves ,floating. This feeling is also enhanced by the perimeter structure of the sideboard, since it is made up of numerous oak dowels which are spread out around the perimeter of the furniture at an equal distance from each other. The modern buffet is far away from the stereotype of an enclosed piece of furniture and makes a statement for the space that it is intended to host as the structure allows light to diffuse, creating a play on the shadow it creates. The right choice of its contents can elevate its owner's living room. The construction has been finished with zero gloss acrylic varnishes (Non yellowing) Dimensions: 200*45*85cm (L*W*H).
